The standard hyper is card spool usually, not an issue, just make sure you don’t damage the edges.

This is similar to what id seen online. I may end up printing some spool rings to sit round them - and to use up the w@nk filament we have left over.

Oh, and to protectb bed sheet coating, use so print spray. My preferred is3dlac but glue sticks, hairspray, whatever. Suspect you use something on ender anyway

Honestly I never have. Rightly or wrongly I'd always seen warping / poor bed adhesion to be a sign I needed to dial in my settings better (gluesticks being a common crutch in this scenario from what I've seen) and my ender came with a magnetic flexi bed sheet which I'd considered to be a semi-consumable that I would replace as and when, given they are <£10. Never needed to though - it looks a bit tired now, but still fully functional after 2 yrs.

That said, the K2 is going to print an order of magnitude faster than the ender, so additional stick would probably come in handy. Looking at the 3DLAC - do you need to spray the bed every time, or is it a bit like rainex where a coating is formed that you topup periodically? Also, can you spray it on and leave it? With cloud access I can see me printing from remote locations (think the office when I should be working, but I'm not), so having the printer ready to go would be a plus.

The glues help create a barrier between print and bed so can aid removal

For most materials, 3dlac is an infrequent spray, my last can lasted 2 years.

That's a beast of a setup, and good discount too, considering iirc the CFS on creality's site is £289 at full price. My k2 is currently in its box blocking up our hallway as I haven't had time to do anything with it since it turned up yesterday. Not sure where the 16kg of hyper PLA is going to live when it turns up sometime in the next hour  ;D

Well it took me nearly another two weeks to actually get setup and printing, but so far its worked flawlessly, setup was easy and so far everything I have done has been via the Creality Cloud app and website. I will need to use the standalone slicer at some point, but to be able to design in tinkercad and print from the app, is extremely useful (work laptop).

To date I haven't any Wifi issues and the speed and quality of prints are both next level compared to what I have been used to previously. To date I haven't printed much beyond enhancements to the printer itself - CFS riser and dessicant boxes, poop chute and bin etc. But not having to wait 24-48hrs for big prints has certainly opened up a lot of possibilities. Overall I can definitely recommend the regular K2 :y

Next stop is converting the old ender 3 into a laser engraver.... ;D

Ah, one question I did have TB, is do you have any sort of isolating feet for yours?

I'm just printing at the standard 100% but the printer doesn't half get a wobble on when going back and forth on narrow parts.

The K2 doesn't come with the extra feet like the K1 Max did.  TBH, it doesn't affect the amount of wobble.  Not sure about the standard K2, but the K2 Plus case a very rigid frame, far more rigid than the K1 Max, which does help a bit.

The wobble itself isn't necessarily a problem for the print and it's quality - that's why it does a bit of a shake test during calibration - but the furniture it sits on might not like it for long.

Mine is sat on a PLA printed drawer setup, with that having 2mm of TPU printed feet under it.

Oh, and I have some 0.6 and 0.8 nozzles turning up from ching chong. Allegedly genuine Creality parts.  Don't use pattern nozzles with hardened steel tips, they tend to blow the tips out.

That should speed up some of my longer prints.

I've also ordered 10 reels of Hyper PLA RFID for £84 delivered from Creality, because, well, errr, its a fettish.  The printer will soon gobble them up, esp with the bigger nozzles!

Can't remember if I said I had stick on RFID tags for my non RFID spools.  That works well - I know it only takes a few taps to manually enter on the printer, but RFID is proper lazy ;D

I am going to do this, in fact I ordered some, then found out there are multiple standards and ordered the wrong ones because I'm a bit simple. Returned with more are on order. I find the little screen on mine quite fiddly with my shovel hands, so the stickers would be better.  Also, some of us don't have the ability to have 16 rolls on the go at any one time  ;)

£8.40p per reel for the RFID stuff is a great price. Looking on the Creality store the best I can see is £19.99 with 30% off if you spend 10. Am I missing something?  :-\

The RFID type you need are MiFare Classic 1k.  In UK, I was struggling to get them for less than around 40p each in quantities less than 50.  Someone on Ebay doing 100 for about £22 delivered.  I've got a load coming from aliexpress, something like £9 for 80 - I can let you know the item number when they arrive and I've tested.

Creality's Ebay store is usually cheaper, and has a 20% off just about everything at the moment, which makes them hard to beat, although stock levels are always variable.  Also, I find they tend to arrive on the very last day of the timeframe suggested, so no good if in a hurry!

The 20% code currently is FINALLY20 - they tend to have a 20% code every few weeks, so no need to massively stock up.
