Anyway i could find out the the what colour of paint was used on interior trim?

Im currently restoring my door panels from the gunky soft touch coating, i did initially scrape it off but couldn’t get a finish im happy with. After taking the door card to the bare bones it looks as though they were painted when new. I want to colour match all trims so its not 50 shades of grey.

Im going to take it to my local paint shop to get them to scan it but they said they highly doubt it would scan, just wondering if theres anyway i can find build data etc.

The trim colour is on the VIN plate.

For the hard plastics I used Tamiya spray, TS29  but you have to strip the soft touch off first, which takes time, effort and care, but the results were hard wearing and easy to clean. That car was a taxi and I didn't have to retouch a single piece.

Their Polycarbonate PS range should be a reasonable solution for the soft touch areas, and even if it you can't find a colour that's an exact match, something close enough could be used throughout as the results will be consistent and repeatable and it will give colour consistency across all the surfaces. Note that the PS paints aren't generally gloss as they're usually sprayed inside a clear RC body shell and it's this that gives them a glossy look.

As you have gone that far stripping the cards down, you should consider retrimming the soft panels (cloth/vinyl) with alcantara or leather. This will eliminate any colour mismatch between the refreshed coating on the trim Vs the filler pieces.

The glovebox and fuse box lids can both be split to enable refinishing or retrimming. I had mixed results with this but I am not in upholsterer, but the door cards came out pretty decent.

I'll see if I can find a pic or too of my door cards to give you an idea.
