U do have to be careful.., we did actually have a problem with one supposed buyer who wasn't genuine (but this can happen with anything u sell on ebay).., gameplayer etc.., but had a genuine buyer today who lived locally.  I don't believe it always goes as smoothly as today tho lol.  There are a lot of misconceptions about Omega's.

I realised today how much of a fan of Omega's I have become myself lol.  Jue may get me driving one (when I can drive) yet he he!
I'll give you lessons in the Beastie Helen......Actually i'm Big Chief Talking Bollix..L plates on an MV6??????...ins.????? :'( :-*

thanks guy but plan to learn in my astra cause its a manual.  Won't go near an omega til I have passed my test and less risk of crashing (gawd I can just see the replies to that one he he)

And then I might just go looking for one of my own lol.

Now sold, one fab 2.5 CDX saloon.  In jue's absence it was up to me to sell it and I did he he.

I stopped jumping up and down long enough to make a post :P

So now I think I am making amends for my ebay spree

 :) :) :) :) :) :)

What was your experience selling a car on ebay?

Did people come to view as per a normal "autotrader" type sale - or did they buy blind?

Cheers

Graham

Ive sold a lot of cars on Ebay and only ever had one person come to view. Even the Range Rover i am selling on there at the mo, A 30 year old vehicle and not one person asked to come and view yet :o

There might be a good reason for that Timbuk, maybe the fact that you put up decent pictures and enough information for people to get a reasonable and accurate desciption of what you re selling.   :y

Lets face it, with a proper description you feel confident in putting in a bid knowing that the seller will only lose the sale if the car is not is what as desribed in the ad as you collect the motor.. :-/

i have sold a few cars on Ebay now and list Skruntle said when doing an auction put loads of piccys up and a really in depth description.

All the cars i have sold on there have never come back, i list all the good and bad points and take pics if possible, i look at the auctions i would buy from and try to emulate them, the more info you give the more at rest you make people feel

good on you for selling one of the fleet
