Hi has any one got the virgin v+ set top box. And if so how good are they for HD thinking of getting one.

Got one but do not use it for HD.., think u need to pay extra for installation of HD capable cables or something.

V+ box as such is better than the sky plus box.., but still has some problems, can be rather slow when u try to change channels in the morning (must prefer to sleep in) and seems to tie itself in knots sometimes requiring a restart.  But this doesn't happen often enuf to make it a 'send it back now' situation.

As an ex-Virgin employee the HD is great, but you only get some stuff on demand and the BBC in HD although more is supposed to be added soon

Sky HD looks a much better prospect IMO. I've not had Sky HD but the Sky + box is much quicker to operate too.

I have one HD looks brill on them. Much better than Sky HD IMO
