Thought I had drowned the dog!
« on: 04 December 2008, 15:48:20 »

Took the dog out for a walk across the canal toe path. I threw a stick in and "Arnie" went to the edge then dropped in the canal, he went under and we couldn't see him for what seemed like ages, probably only a few seconds, but I was getting ready to jump in... Mrs Loo-knee was "Oh Darren, Darren!!! when he came up so i grabbed him under the arms and pulled him out....
Give him top marks for going in after it  :y
I had to laugh after though he must of though "S8it this is deep" :D
So had to give him a bath when we got in...

Think he still loves me though :)

I'd probably jump in too as you can't just stand there & do nothing but remember at this time of year the water temperature can stop your heart instantly through shock.......
Next time throw Mrs Loo Knee in after him...not really!!!!! :D

Mrs. Loo-knee knows how lucky she is to have me  :D I have had my orders again to make another Chocolate Cake..... :)

The canal wasn't iced over but was rather cold  :o  but was a little concerned when we could not even see him, mind canals are a little on the dirty side :-?
His poor little face though, have to chuckle  ::)

Brings back memories of my first dog. we were in the lakes so I decided to get him used to water I started to paddle into Coniston with the hound following me on the lead, I couldn't believe my eyes when as the water got deeper he just kept on walking on the lake bed until he was totally submerged! :o ended up dragging him off the bottom with the lead.
