I'm sure it works very well, do you need a TV licence for it, or is that a grey area ? I'm not much of a tech person.

It works well if you don't install a load of dodgy crap on it (codec packs!).

It is TV receiving equipment if you fit a tuner, so if you want to watch or record tv, licence required. With 3rd party utils, it can index all the iplayer/watch again etc, and stream. Licence requirement is grey in this sceanrio (ie no installed tuners, but still streaming tv from bbc etc).

I am just learning about DVD's at the moment so perhaps in a decade or two!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW you will love Blazing Saddles, especially the toll booth scene.
