But his reply addy when I checked the properties for the return address is services@nationwide.co.uk

have you notified the bank about it. i would of put in a load of b****x just to see what happened next. it says they have been reported but is that as far as it goes, do they actuaaly build a case up and prosecute

Bank will not do a thing about it. I already ask about it.  I am using a Gmail and it has a “Report phishing” feature. Once they get many phishing reports, mail content, sender, IP etc gets a header with red information about the thread.
I keep getting e-mails from BMS (BulletMotorsport) that are offering me a good job and all I have to do is use my bank account to “transfer funds”. I will also get 10% commissioning! Great! I wrote from other account (that can be spammed) that I don’t speak English, but it was no problem for them. Great. So I said that I don’t have a bank account so I will use theirs  - they insisted that it’s necessary to have one so that they can pay my a “salary”.  
BMS is a genuine company but these guys have stolen their identity and website to act like a real company. Sadly, there are people stupid enough to try. They get few cheques for £10-20 and when the real money comes to play, all cheques bounces back…
I think it’s just a laziness of e-mail and www providers. It’s just too easy to stop these people, but maybe too many of them get their shares…
