After being given a "redundancy warning notice" 3 weeks ago there has been lots of rumours around the office of when we would find out and who would go.

Well it was today and it wasn't me

mate sat next to me got the letter of doom though so not really happy even though i should be :-/

I was in the same situation back in January, the outcome was the same for me although my mate got the bullet, I felt guilty for feeling glad it wasn't me for a few weeks. It's not a pleasant situation to be in.

i took out accident sickness and unemployment cover last year and the unemployment cover starts in 2 weeks so fingers crossed

I was there 2 weeks ago. Last week I got told I was out of the process. What a relief.

It's crap now at work and even more crap for the people who are still involved. But at least my cats and I have money for food, rent and heat for the forseeable future. Which is measured in weeks and months for pretty much all of us at the mo.

I felt the iron rode last October & it's a bloody awfull feeling, especially when you liked your job. I have a much better one now by a long way, so some good can come of bad news
