Can anybody answer these questions (corsa related)
« on: 19 February 2009, 19:17:16 »

Greetings, need some help. Until recently my Corsa would start first turn of the key. Along comes cold weather and it wouldn't start. Checked the valve shims, all inlets too tight, sorted that out. Now when I try to start it takes several attempts before it will fire. Once going car is ok, if you turn off and try to re start it takes a few goes before it fires.

Have read about the fuel line getting air locked, (haven't touched the fuel filter or unions)

Q1 Is there a simple check to see if air is being sucked back into the fuel line

Q2 If i was to fit a none return valve, where is best place to put it, on the feed from tank-filter or the feed from filter-pump.   or do I fit one on each feed?

Cheers

Roland

Just a "sanity check" but is your outside temperature reading making sense?

it is a diesel, and it looks like it is sucking in air.  Is there an easy way to check, or is it just a case of fitting a non return valve.
