Has anyone had a go in the Insignia? any opinions?

Yep, drove a few models around Millbrook.

Not impressed with the Autobox - Omega just drops down a peg when you gently press the throttle whereas the Insignia box insists you boot the throttle to the floorboards and hit the kickdown switch before it'll change down.

Apart from that it's a very nicely styled car with reasonable ride quality and the option of 4WD on the V6.

Way back in October I spent half a day driving a number of Insignia's, and this was my review at the time:

For me the 2.8i V6 24v Turbo 4x4 Elite Auto Saloon would always be the model to have 8-) 8-).

What a mouthful! Sounds like the pick of the bunch though  :y

(only improvement would be to have an estate IMO  :-/)

Does it have all that written on the boot..?

I remember when any detail at all modern had to be identified. Automatic, abs, 5 speed, injection...

Thanks for that Lizzie.  Hopefully will get a local test drive in an elite this weekend, SWMBO really fancies the sport tourer :y

Indeed, and in my opinion a very poor review of the car itself! :(  What does it tell us; virtually nothing! ::) ::) ;)
