Wheels, for my Galant, what you think
« on: 15 March 2009, 22:55:08 »

It seems that the Galant is staying, so no Signum then :-/
It is very clean and the engine is so sweet. Put it back on the road today an took it for a spin, I have forgoten what it is like to hear a V6 and drive at Lizzie Zoom speeds :-X
The car is clean, one wheel arch to sort, not too bad but the wheels and manky and will be due for some tyres within the next 10 k I would think. Swmbo drives this.
Anyway tyres will cost a bob or two so I thought I would look and wheel / tyre combinations, what do you think of these, I can't believe the price.....

Been looking for some new alloys for the estima recently and tbh having looked at a few alloy specialists in this case Halfrauds do have some very competitive offers. Look the biz to me Vamps, just never really know about the quality of the tyres , that would be my only concern but , given I only have topend "budget" ones on mine anyway, dont think that'd be an issue.. :y

Looks a good deal Mike, provided the tyres are OK.

That is teh price for 4..... :P :P :P Not sure they will fit the Galant though, when I looked further, fit other Mitsubishi's we will see, maybe a trip to Halfords. It's that or clean the weels on the car, and they are well manky, though nice enough wheels.. :D :D

Yep, they would refurbish, it was just the price of new, including tyres that caught my eye, however seems they may not fit, need to vist halfords and ask. Was just a thought ::) I was going to chage the the car, but it really is a nice car, and gives swmbo loads of street cred with the kids she works with, who have been taking the micky out of her for using the Mig ::) ::) ::)

If they are alloy, get something similar to Ali (Click on link) water it down accordingly.  Get a trigger spray and spray all 4 wheels.  Give it a few mins then get wash off.

Making a car look mint aint allways about elbow grease.  Amazing what a differnce only 5 mins makes to a set of alloys.
