The infamous low beam/FLD vision........
« on: 19 March 2009, 15:17:35 »

started to show three days ago, and yes shortly after having an MOT! ::) ::) ::)

Anyway thanks to the posts I had read of the Forum I today speedily jacked up the car and hunted for disengaged wires / boxes / arms.  After looking at the front then back near side suspension areas, with much searching with "feeling" around the various components I eventually found the offending problem.......the little rod over the front n/s suspension arm had 'popped off' the top connection.  Within a second it was back in place and the MID warning has now disappeared. 8-) 8-) 8-) ;)

What a bloody silly thing that is!! ::) ::) ::) ;)

I am so glad I am on this forum and people know of such things.  I would otherwise have been hunting forever to find the fault!! :D :D ;)

Its not good just popping it back on.

The small link rod with the two small ball joints at either end will be seized, they need squirting with a good penetrating fluid to get them nice and free and then smouthering in grease.
