Seat Alhambra (sorry)
« on: 12 April 2009, 20:17:02 »

Well it has taken 3 days of dodging the rain, Well about 12 hours in total. But I have finally changed the auto box for my father.
If anyone has one of thes type of vehicles I can tell you the ford galaxy auto box will fit fit, but does need 2 mounting holes in the bellhousing drilling out to 12mm for bigger bolts. it needs 3 holes opening up an tapping to M10 and 2 holes drilled an tapped to M6.

These are one sick car, to get the rad out you have to remove the front bumper, headlights crash structure thing at the front, in fact the whole front of the car needs to come off.

I did actually enjoy doing it in the end, and feel like I have just spent 12 hours in the gym.

That just reminded me of some old 5-cyl Audies which needed half the front removed to start on timing belt. Iit looks like it is in the familly.

BTW, replacing spark-plugs on the rear bank of cylinders on 3.5 Renault Espace is an engine out job.
