Have to agree with Chris-great spec but not a fan of the styling. Much prefer the old Monaro...

Mate in Norn Irn rang me last Sunday"listen to this" he said
"sounds lovely, what is it "I replied
"a Monaro with a chipped engine and a very expensive sports exhaust, and I am just about to be taken for a drive in it"says he.
10 minutes later he rings again, yelling above the scream of the engine "ssssshitt, this thing  can shift".
I was suddenly homesick. :)

poxy V6?

I want a V8 rumble!  >:(
im sure in a few years when they come down in price we can transplant a v8 in some how  ;D ;D

I am sure Mr DTM will be along shortly to explain how good the Vx V6 Turbo lump is, but come on, in a big heavy car, V8 has to be the way.

If i had the cash, i would still get a Monaro

It is a very good lump and very tuneable....a single twin scroll turbo setup with full variable valve timing and lift in an all alloy lump, very nice!

I think the back end looks underwhelming on the standard ones I've seen on the road.

Now an estate VXR, that may be different....

good car but not that good on the track..(seen some test results)

honestly if I had the strong wallet for fuel ,I would prefer an old e46 m3 or e39 m5 :-/
