Not for me either, had some on me jag, ... hated them, i dislike chrome on cars though, have tried many times to get rid of the chrome type stuff round windows on my cars, but never yet successfully

Here you go.
My mates estate in Netherlands .He bought it with them fitted I asked him about the " suitability " of them on the car but he just laughed 'cause it's just a parts chaser and daily hack.
Thats a Diplomat A bye the way on the back now secreted in one of his two barns  awaiting restoration.
Re the arch trims,     I think you should tread warily
