It's a company which offers car insurance that complies with the basic tenets of islamic sharia law. (which has specific principles on how money is handled - in particular risk and investment).

I don't quite understand what the problem is - this is purely a business based on religious beliefs; in principle no different from a catholic gift shop that specialises in selling religious artifacts to believers.

Point to note: I am not islamic; I was raised catholic but am considered non-practicing.

Sorry, I'm afraid I don't understand. If Direct Line works for you, great ,but I still don't see the problem with a car insurance company based on religious beliefs... I'm not stirring it, I just don't see why there's a big issue about it.

At least they can now do it.

At last the answer i was really looking for......... it dont matter who they are, what they preach, what colour they are or anything else....if they provide a first class service people will use them

Perhaps I was a little brash... I only use insurance companies I have heard of and know they deliver the goods... After the Family experiences with Norwich Union I wont use them but I would use the above company if I had heard of them and knew someone who had experienced them

Just to let you all know i have just spoke to them for a quote, they could not beat Direct Line and i must say the attitude of the gent i spoke to was something to be desired, bad customer service and down right arrogant .......DEFFO will not be calling them again
