Er... what? I don't see the problem with this.

It's a company which offers car insurance that complies with the basic tenets of islamic sharia law. (which has specific principles on how money is handled - in particular risk and investment).

Further explanation here.

I don't quite understand what the problem is - this is purely a business based on religious beliefs; in principle no different from a catholic gift shop that specialises in selling religious artifacts to believers.

Point to note: I am not islamic; I was raised catholic but am considered non-practicing.

Until you try to make a claim, Direct line for me thank you. :y

Sorry, I'm afraid I don't understand. If Direct Line works for you, great :y ,but I still don't see the problem with a car insurance company based on religious beliefs... I'm not stirring it, I just don't see why there's a big issue about it.

 :-?

Each to their own!  ;)

I'm with you on this one... There's nothing wrong with this as Sharia law is very strict and some people follow it to the letter, which means they may not be able to get insurance so just drive about without it :o :o :o

At least they can now do it.

That said... It's not for me ::) ::) ::)

Yes, I must say that I agree with the sentiments of both Leonard and Lazydocker :y :y

I would also use them if they gave me a competitive quote. 8-) 8-)

Perhaps I was a little brash... I only use insurance companies I have heard of and know they deliver the goods... After the Family experiences with Norwich Union I wont use them but I would use the above company if I had heard of them and knew someone who had experienced them :y :y :y

That is the only reason I said they weren't for me :y :y
