Depends on the exact model as to what plug is used, you can download the service manual below

www.smallenginesuppliers.com/html/engine-specs/tecumseh/Tecumseh_quick_reference.pdf

Right click, select "Save target as" from the context menu.

Unlikely, although a mower shop or even BandQ sell them but there a bit over priced!

So my advice, pop to a mower shop and get one

Its probably a J19LM in BandQ

Be careful- the J19 LM plug is a short reach plug designed for side valved engines that are common on alot of mowers etc.

The BP 5ES plug has a more traditional length reach and is used in overhead valve small engines and some cars as well I am led to believe.

Need to check you have the right plug otherwise you might end up punching a hole on the top of the piston.

Not teaching anyone to suck eggs but sometimes the obvious is missed.

Good find though.

Nick V6

Have a look here

http://www.tecumsehpower.com/CustomerService/BSI.pdf

Pages 6 through to 9 are the ones you want. You ned to have adobe acrobat to view it since it is a pdf document.

You must identify your engine model as per the guide since some engines use the short reach plug and some use the long reach plugs.

Having identified the engine model you will be able to get the right plug and gap it correctly (champion are what is spec'd in the guide)

Try http://www.sparkplugs.co.uk if you can't locate one through the usual routes.
