But will it outrun a Greenpeace boat?

I think it might have the edge... 8-)

2 x Ilmor marine combustion engines MV10-710
Configuration : 90 degree V 10
Horsepower : 2 x 710 HP
Torque : 882 Nm @ 4800 rpm
Full throttle rpm range: 5400 - 6300
Capacity: 2 x 8.3 liters
Performance: 90 kn
2 x electric engines

At first glance they don't look particularly impressive in the drag coeff stakes, although 80 knots is certainly shifting. Last time I was sailing it was about 5 knots  ;D

Don't you think all this chucking lumps of lead at each other from reinforced Ford Prefects is a bit old fashioned. Now if someone would get a move and invent a decent  death ray and flying saucer  :y :y :y

I mean look at the money they would save.  ;D

Many years ago we took a Leander class frigate out for HATS & SATS Harbour & Sea acceptance trials aftr re-fit. When we were flat out at 26knots .... the whole bloody thing shook!  ;)  ;)  ;)
