Stupid test.... :D :D :D

Just had a go, as Master Vamps is struggling ::) ::)

What is this business about tuning a radio in before going into a tunnel, never heard of the one before.
Couple of question were debatable answers.

Hazard perception, apparently you have to click on only one, I found several on all the video's.  Also I definitely identified a hazard, explained to Little Miss Vamps at the time and got a zero score, seems you are not allowed to spot a hazard too early ::) ::) ::)

Pleased I don't have to do it, but will have another go tomorrow for 100%

So first off we are told not to let anything (mobiles, stereo's, pussy, etc) distract us, then we are told to piss about with the radio before we enter a tunnel????

Yep, no idea why, after all our radio's won't work in a tunnel.  I coud only think it was for some emergency warning, no idea really.........

Fair enough if you're going through Mont Blanc or something (although they won't let you get anywhere near another vehicle in there, so not sure what could go wrong). Hardly relevant in the UK, surely? :-/

As for sportting hazards too early? Daft. Such tests are a great idea in theory but does it have any relevance to what you actually do when sitting behind a real steering wheel in a real car rather than a PC?

It is for this reason.  Some of the larger tunnsls have emergency tannoy systems that transmit RDS signals in emergencies.

Whats the point in tuning your radio into every tunnel radio? if you are in europe and drive say to poland or to hungary you go through say four countrys, can you speak the language from each country?
I know that the tyne tunnel has radio reception in so you dont have to play with your radio apart from that you have a very loud siren and other visable signs in case of an emergency.

That is the way it will always have to be, because you can't guarantee that everybody will have a radio, and you further can't guarantee that those that do have one will actually have it switched on.
