A waste of a day.....
« on: 03 July 2010, 21:33:34 »

Well, I went shopping today, having studied online Autotrader and ebay, Miss Vamps and swmbo at the caravan, so nicely out of the way.... :y

What a waste of a day, driven miles.... >:( >:(

Went to Sacriston, to look at an Omega, car not at the garage, in storage facility some miles away and not accessible :(  02 car with 67k and supposedly Mint. Looked at the paperwork, full dealer service history, though not sure of cambelt. They will do the cambelt and tensioners and put a full MOT on it.

On to Chester-le-street, Mitsubishi, car Sold this morning. ::) ::) ::)

On to Washington, MGZS, Garage Closed, on a SATURDAY.... :o :o :o

Back home for some lunch, noticed a Rover 75 ‘Y’ reg being retailed by Evans Halshaw in Darlington, so got to be a Nice one, phots’s looked like it had Leather seats but spec said cloth, so rang to check, yep, cloth said the salesman. Got there and they showed me to the wrong Rover, are you with me, Yep the one I went to see was Mint, but had leather seats. >:(

3 dealerships on one site and it was very busy, people were queuing to buy new and used cars....... :o
Salesman just gave me the keys and said ‘don’t drive it away’......  :D :D

Whilst in Darlington had a run around some of the second hand places, Automatics are few on the ground, looking to buy cheap, remember the Omega is a lot of car, nothing of interest so drove over to Stockton / Thornaby, the MV6 I have had half an eye on for weeks has gone.... :-/

Will have to make an arrangement to see the Omega one evening as away next weekend, so on the card’s are 2 Migs and a Hyundai Sanata, love the Mig but feel it might be a bit too big and heavy (Health)  for day to day use at work, car park is busy and tight for space, as are lots of the places I go to.......... :-/ :-/

I can see myself running Master Vamps little Saxo at this rate......

Remember on a V6 you can have the assistance on the power steering cranked up with a Tech2 it it's a bit too heavy for you Mr Vampire.

Interesting post Vamps, last time I was up your way it was to view an S80 described as immaculate that upon viewing was far from it....oil in carpet on boot floor, plastic trim falling off, drivers seat with hidden rip etc etc

And that was after my train from Grantham to Newcastle got cancelled and my parents had to drive me all the way up there for bloody nothing.....

That would blooming annoy me, bad enough if you go 10 miles, I am limiting myself to 20 miles and trying to keep around here and to the south, ie near to home or work....Sacriston is the middle of nowhere.... ::) ::)
