« on: 01 December 2010, 22:49:09 »

Went into Wickes today to get a few bits plus some rock salt for the garden paths and car  and was charged £20;97 for 3 bags of the stuff. What has everyone else been paying for it???

I just bought a couple of bags from the local garage and paid £7 a bag, seems to be the going price if your only buying a small amount :( :(

At the bottom of my road is a bin, full of grit before the snow, next day empty just a little had been used on the road. So I phone the council to ask to refill it,thats done yesterday morning, very good arn't they,as soon as they gone the locusts are there, its bloodly empty again. I noticed a bloke at another bin. filling a wheel barrow, now that is taking the p""s.

€ 7 for a 20Kg bag , picking up ten bags tomorrow when , according to the forecast , rain will destroy the frost and snow and allow me to get onto the main road.
Beginning to get cabin fever up here .................... :D
