View ruined at work
« on: 19 December 2010, 22:04:30 »

We used to have

http://www.davidgeraldtvr.com/index.asp

Now we have this shite

http://www.jalimports.co.uk/

No more sports cars to drool over.

No more E Types, D Type replicas, TVRs were 10 a penny, and one of the mehanics had a ECU reader to wipe codes.

And I fixed both mechanics fobs!

What a drop in the world :( :(

We certainly do! If I could get another job closer to home instead of driving 45 miles return trip & paid me the same as Heinz pay me I'd be off, the politics there are unbelievable. Organise & brewery also springs to mind.  :-?
There's an irony there somewhere considering we're in dispute over pay at the moment, but as said I'm one of only 10%  ;)

I wouldn't be able to concentrate on anything work related when there's a V8 ticking over outside  ;D

Back in '94 I spent a week working on-site for a client in Woking.  Their office was next to McLaren, who at the time were putting the finishing touches to the F1.

I had a lovely view one afternoon through the window as a prototype came flying down the driveway.  I then had a lovely view of the ceiling from turning too quick in my chair to watch the beasty roar past and tipping it over.   ::)

Still, on a positive note, less recovery trucks and low-loaders. :P
