I had always discounted the Frontera....so maybe i should considor a post 98 - v6 -as a tow car :-/

There are plenty of them Jock, but the majority seem to be 2.2s The diesel punts out a fair whack  of torque though, only a couple short of the V6. but it's 20 MPH slower top end and takes over four seconds more to reach 60.

Mind this is a "third" car for towing only   may be able to put up with it.
Just found an omega elite 3.0 estate on S reg 9miles from me on autotrader. £745 ono so waiting on word back on it
