Is it possible your DVI output and HDMI output are copies of the same thing?  i.e. you can't have different setups on them?

I don't know much about these things Chris....but I personally think you might be on the right track :y
Plomein put up a pretty good screenie of the Nvidia control panel, which I can get into, but with different readings.....I pick up the telly....but can't get to the HDMI bit as shown in the pic.
Am gonna start from square one by updating drivers, and making sure TVout is enabled, then go through all the tips given earlier :y Thanks for responses....I will let you know of results as it may help someone else :y
