Any companies recommended for doing a phone repair?

Bit of an open question. If it is a Nokia always worth asking if it is still under warranty if a defect in the handset. My wife has an 8800 Arte which they fixed foc at nearly 2 years old.
If you have dropped it then depends on what parts but we use a local shop round here - Town and Country and they are ok. Wife just dropped her phone again and got it sorted for £40.

Have insurance via bank with £30 excess but not worth claiming on this occasion
