Spring Cleaning
« on: 17 April 2011, 18:59:32 »

Ive been forced to do some spring cleaning since wednesday....and doesnt it go on and on and on and on....and i still havent finished yet!  :( Still got the bathroom and spare bedroom to go but not tonight.....goto go and clean the scudo in a min.

Why the spring clean?.....I had new windows fitted last wednesday......very pleased with them  :y It took 4 fitters 4 1/2hrs to fit 10 windows, they cleaned the immediate area they were working in....but the dust created went everywhere   :o :(

Still.....the windows needed changing (before they fell out  :-[ ) and the house probably needed a good clean  ::)

Tell me about it.
Done the same here as we managed to dump the dustbin lids on their grandparents, and while we did create an incredible amount of space in the clearout (we are talking cupboards that haven't been open in 5 years), the amount of tat that we amassed was beyond belief.

There was a good side to it though, the OH turned our old tat in to £54 profit by car booting it all, and £54 is better than spending £5 in fuel running it all up the dump and throwing it away.

umm yes on both counts  :-[
The window fitters made so much noise (electric saws/drills/etc) that holly dog found it hard to snooze....and she's got the habit of following me around to see what im upto......so she kept getting in the way of cleaning/hoovering  ::)

She's currently asleep on the sofa.....but after i've made tomorrow's nights dinner.....she'll be relegated to the floor or another chair.....her choice  ::)

Think you'd better give her some sausages as compensation.

When I worked for a window company, we had one idiot customer who rang to complain that once we'd fitted her windows the cat wouldn't come in, and wanted to know what we were going to about it! Somehow I managed to avoid sarcasm mode, and managed to get one of the installation managers to deal with her. I'm so glad that I don't do a customer service job any more!
