Years ago when all the pubs around my way sold it we called it "squittter and scream" as after several you are looking for the "big white telephone".

As said everybody to their own taste ,but not my choice.

I do buy Spitfire now and then and quite like it - but have become a softie drinking Peroni, Cobra, Tsing Tsao and lots of wine - 36 bottles of wine delivered this afternoon!!!

my fav loaction for this particlular beverage being the masons hotel on/outside bridgend.

I agree with the vast majority of that list Herc - especially Old Tom  :)

My local has Speckled Hen on draft, as well as Lancaster Bomber - now that is a nice drop  :y

Never had a problem with it, and it's way better than the other local beer; Goachers, which is like drinking yesterday's dish water.
