Sod it
« on: 15 July 2011, 13:17:44 »

After getting angry with Craplins on the phone earlier, I went to go to the bathroom, tripped over a box containing a portable CD drive in, landed flat on my face. Ouch.

Why is it things always happen together ;D

My initial thought too, but then thought that the CD drive was in a box enroute to the bathroom!  :y :y :y

Correct, on floor of the bedroom that is my office.  Along with a box of Gixer's bits, which is what I landed on. Its all his fault.

The only things on the floor of the bathroom, that shouldn't really be there, is my, errr, "library for those moments of private contemplation" ;D

I tend to read reference type books whilst sat on the potty.  I find, if stuck with a problem that needs thinking through, my best moments of inspiration come then ::)

What is men's fascination with spending time on the loo?  Surely there are more comfortable and appropriate places to read/contemplate! ::)

At least the smack in the face didn't cost you anything.

This last week has cost us:
1x broken 4x4 (transfer box melted due to oil loss)
1x broken Xbox (missus dropped it while cleaning)
1x broken SE X10 phone (fell out of pocket while on scaffold)

On the plus side, the OH's godfather sorted us with a fully loaded, 1998, one owner from new, FSH, 44K on the clock, 318is (1.9) Beemer that puts out 140BHP as standard for £600 with a years ticket and 6 months tax.

Alas it doesn't have the 7 seats required to transport the whole family in one go, but it'll do for now and looking at the prices people are asking for lesser specced models on ebay I'm sure I'll have no trouble getting back the £600 in 6 months or so time.

True, it cost me little more than my dignitity for being such a prat ;D

Actually, it cost me a few quid last night, as I had to go and numb the pain down the Red Lion ::)

Oddly, my head hurts more today, though probably not due to the fall ;D

BTW, Martian, seems like a good deal on the Beemer.  Pretty sure my Mum's old 1992 318is is worth more than £600, given the quotes for trade ins she's had (I've told her to run it in to ground, as its a peach, worth far more than anyone would offer, and being the last of the 'proper' BMWs before the mass production skills from BL were introduced, its better built. And it shifts, as it weighs sod all)
