Senator Exhaust
« on: 11 June 2007, 20:29:09 »

Just want to confirm I do not need exhaust gaskets for the new senator exhaust?

Also what size bolts are best to use?

Where? From the back of the cats rearwards? I used M8 & IIRC they were 30mm long. Obviously in stainless & from stores!  ;)

Sorry yes should have confirmed, from the rear of the cats to the new zorst.

30mm sounds good, although they will be steel, can't be arsed with stainless!

You should have a rubber front & back of each centre box - a kind of figure 8 cross section. 1 hole slides over a protruding bar on the box & t'other does the same thing on a bracket fastened to the bottom of the car, a circlip type clip then clips onto the car's bracket to sltp it from sliding off. All very similar to my Omega.

Maybe then I thought there was one front & back of each box. It was 5 or 6 years ago when I made my Senator's exhaust (out of stainless of course  ;) ) Strangely the clips were different between the centre boxes & the back box.  :-?
