Decent Car Dealer
« on: 04 December 2009, 09:07:34 »

Last weekend my son bought a high spec used Audi A3 from a main dealer. It was an S Line with Sat Nav. Asked question - will it sync with my Iphone - answer yes.

As it was late in day he said he would sync it later. Mistake!!. When he got home and started to read manual - there was no car kit fitted.

Went back to dealer who offered a parrot system as Audi do not retrofit the phone prep package.

We sent a nice letter pointing out the purchase process. Surprisingly dealer has agreed to non Audi fit of a unit which will do the same job as factory fit and have compensated at £800. (£800 is a bit steep as you can get the Audi bluetooth units for £300 on ebay.)

They held their hands up as to genuine mistake, offered to take car back etc - but to fit the kit is best solution all round.

Good on them, to hold their hands up and try and rectify the error.  :y
