How dose Climate control work below 4c
« on: 08 December 2010, 13:10:33 »

I think the AC cuts out a 4c and under. So with the temp set at 24c how dose the car keep that set temp without the AC working alongside it.

Thanks
Steve.   :y

If I mind right you have to press the windscreen demist button the fan comes on full pelt and the air-con cuts in.
also make sure the air recycle button is on and the A appears in the centre of fit

The same as normal as the incoming air will be 4degC or less anyway.

It just heats the air up

As the Master says, doesn't need to chill it, as the incoming air is cooler than A/C chilled air anyway :y

Is the air-con switch-off feature common to all Omegas with CC, then? Or is this just a farcelift thing?

I've just never heard it! Always put it on ECO during winter, to save wasting the air-con.

It's common to air con on cars! It doesn't run when  there's a chance of the condensate produced by the air conditioning freezing in the system & buggering it up.

Not 'wasting' your a/c? You're doing it more harm than good. A/C systems need to be run on a regular basis to help stop seals from drying out.  ;)
