A few quid saved.

The cortina really needs a new fuel tank. It's been welded & won't take any more, can only half fill it or it stinks, only holds 8 gallons @ 25/30 mpg so always topping it up. I asked on a Cortina forum i belong to & was offered a good one for £120 + p&p. Hard enough to find one for a saloon but a 1966 estate? He lives too far to pick it up & i hate to think what the p&p would be as it'll have to go with  parcel courier & may be ADR ...HAZ... but he's accepted my offer of £100 inclusive.
Could'nt find one @ Newark autojumble or online anywhere else. I could have one pattern fabricated locally but that would cost a kings ransom so this one will be chipped back to bare metal, treated, new lines & while it's out waxoil or shultz under the boot before refitting.
   I love tinkering in the workshop & if a job's worth doing.. Summer shows coming up!!!! :) :) :) :y 8-)
