A single tiny wire that is bonded in a special way fails ... as the wire is packed in gooey plastic substance it makes intermittent contact .. when mine went it appeared to be affected by what I assumed to be the internal temperature of the ECU .. it would not work when cold, work a bit when slightly warm and not work at all when well warm.. and slowly but surely the "not working" bracket was getting bigger and bigger. As the power steering was affected I opted to get it fixed !!!

If yours is a 2.5 auto, I have one that I paid to have refurbished at Nottingham ECU testing but haven't since used. I no longer need it as I am sadly breaking the car. shouldn't need tech 2'ing as it was off a car with cruise etc. Comes with companies guarantee .. Would just need to agree a price!

Could post recorded delivery to you from Spain :y
