Actually, I am concerned about one thing, if I buy pipercross viper kit, after filter gets dirty, can I just easily replace it with a new K&N filter(for example), which physically fits of curse?
And can someone send me link with engine sound(mv6 if possible) after putting pipercross viper kit(with its original filter)...does it change sound of engine at all?

cure2fast - I can't see why you couldn't replace the filter inside there with a different kind, assuming it'll physically fit.. although if Pipercross still use foam filters I imagine they flow pretty well (albeit lack filtration)
You are sure 100% about this, or its just an assumption?

Sorry guys, I'm a little bit noob about these kind of things. :)
Just help me. If I got this right(now) pipercross viper induction kit is a thermal insulating cone "box" (miss the word so I used term "box"), in which comes a cone air filter. But is the filter integrated inside of a cone box, or can put any cone air filter I want (with proper dimensions of course)?
I believe the pipercross is just a standard cone type filter, with no specific help to keep engine heat out.

Nope, it's a fully enclosed cone filter, if you go look up the product cure2fast is talking about ;)

Ah, OK.  Wouldn't that mask the noise, which is the only point of a cone on an Omega  :-/

Guys cause pipercross viper kit is too expensive, would it be ok if I just put cone filter in some sealed plastic box with a big cold air intake? Will I lose some power then? Is it better for cone filter to be sealed in box, or just to be free like richardirv's?

AND QUESTION FOR richardirv: Do you fell any lack of power in hot days, with your cold air intake system?

Surely the main selling point of a foam air filter is that you can clean and re-oil it, not just chuck it away when it's dirty? (something you'll have to do every couple of K miles)

Agreed, specially being open in the engine bay, these kinda kits attract ALOT more dirt. so be ready to clean every couple of months..  :y
