Not Quite An Omega
« on: 10 November 2008, 00:33:55 »

not quite an omega but i like it, its a 1990 toyota celica gtr 4ws which is awesome, its fast, comfortable and good looking, what i like about new zealand is that it doesnt matter how old your car is and another thing is that its full of my favourite cars like capris, cortinas, escorts, etc.
Ive even seen some omegas out here.
Anyway back to the celica, what i find interesting is that 4ws stands for 'four wheel steering' and the back wheels steer at a tiny angle to give your better handling.
Check out this pic of google

Anyway heres my celica, this was just before i waxed it, i will show you the waxed pics later.

What do you think :D

A very nice car indeed! 8-) 8-) 8-) :y

I had a 19 year old Toyota Carina II which I had owned for 6 years, taking it over 240K with it still doing comfortably 120mph with a 1600 4AF engine.  Never let me down, although I did a fair amount of work on her.

Toyota's are very good reliable fast cars with great engines! :y :y :y

All the best to you out there in New Zealand, and it looks fabulous!! 8-) 8-) 8-) :y  Sunny to start with, unlike here!! ::) ::) ;)

The 4WS on these just about overcomes the failings in the chassis which help it compete with the competition.

Beware though, I persoanaly have worked on a few of these......and they dont take to a ragging!
