engine revs to high

hi to any one who can help me ?
i have a n reg vauxhall omega auto 2.0
when i am at a stand still and in park and also when in drive the engine revs high and then low then high and low again ?
you get the picture lol.
also when i am sum time waiting at lights the engine just cuts out ?
so is there any one who may have the same thing happening to them?
is there any one who can help me fix this problem

Firstly, clean breathers, throttle body, and ICV. Then look for air leaks....

My mates 2.0 had the same problem, cleaned the breathers, ICV, lubricated and adjusted the throttle cable - everything was then fine.
