auto dipping mirror
« on: 26 March 2007, 12:49:05 »

Hi everyone

Ive just noticed that on my auto dipping mirror (retro fited) its got all squiggly colours all over it!! blue green and yellow its quite strange looking!

Does this mean that its knackered? is there anything i can do to it?

Any help would be great

Thanks

Sounds knackered.  A replacement should be cheap enough...

I got mine cheap - I bidded on a load on ebay, and won most of them  >:(

Fortunately, my bids were all very low, and I relisted most and made a decent profit ;)

Only 1 left now, tempted to keep as a spare.

I like your scattergun approach Jaime!  ;D

Lee, I would not pay more than £15 for one. They turn up regularly enough.

Ended up with 5 for £15 inc p&p each. Sold 3 for £30 ish + p&p, fitted one in the MV6, and have one sat in garage...

Hi, don't want to hijack your thread but does anyone know if the wiring for the auto dipping mirror is already in place on the CDX model, and if so, what is involved with fitting one?

Thanks AA, having read through it I have to admit it looks a little too complicated for me, I think I will give it a miss.   :(

Loom not in place but 4 wires only needed, 3 are already at courtesy light, 4th (not truely required) is in passenger kick panel...  ...easy.
