just put a new gasket on the inlet manifold[shot to bits] put everything back and now she's running like a bag of nails.sounds like it's on three pots and knocking,i've looked around the hoses and they seem ok.it's a 2.0l 16valve cdx.

everything plugged in the way it should, leads to dis all in secure?

Double check all electrical connections....

done that,the only problem i had was the injector wiring rail was a pig to get free wonder if i've damaged the connections. i'm just having a breather as i've been at it for hours.

might be worth doing a paper clip test to see whats wrong...

Lots of space around the 4pots so should be able to see if anything is disconnected. Any hissing comming from the new gaskets? All torqued down correctly on the plenum?

Sounds like something is still disconnected someware.... something silly like the cam sensor?

seems to be ok now,i let it get up to temp and it seems ok then has a bit of a fit then ok again.i think it could be the carb cleaner i've been useing, i gave it a very thorough scrubbing.i'll leave it overnight and check it monday
