What does this do, exactly??
« on: 30 April 2007, 07:01:15 »

Gents & Ladies,

http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p43/davec1999/IMG_0316.jpg

What does this do, it's called BOX, VACUUM, INDUCTION MANIFOLD Part No 90502721,

It lives on the air intake trumpets at the bottom, directly in front of the alternator, on V6's only..

Managed to break off one of the flimsey unions when doing cam belt t'other week...  Word of advice, pull the rubber 90 degree bends, straight off this module...  don't try to pull the thin vac pies out of the rubber fittings, they'll probably break like mine did....

I'm curious however, what does this do exactly?????  Ambient pressure sensor!!!!!

Its the front vacuum tank. You wont have any multi-ram action without that. And, yes, they are fragile, so be careful with the next one. :y
