not just for our Olympians, but for my CDX! In short, it's stood for months without being fired up and now won't. it sits on my lawn waiting for tinkering time (august) or to be thrown away (what the powers suggest).
Any bright ideas?
history: (fyi 2.5v6 '96)
stood for two weeks end of 2005, wouldn't start - fuel pump fault diagnosed. £140 from a dealer? sod that i thought

replacement from breakers sourced, with new seal from Vx, attempt at fitting early 2006. still wouldn't start. :-/
pump removed, tested on bench, had stopped working. 5 pound wasted

builders moved in, no space on drive, car towed to grandparents drive.
left standing for 10 months - end of 2006. Doh! :-?
annoyed family members pay for mobile mechanic to replace fuel pump and ........still not starting. £200 invested...
compression tests done, low readings, apparently might be stuck valves or something. :-/
one method to get valves moving discovered - 'keep turning the bloody thing over until the oil gets back up there as they're hydraulic'. added new fuel, redex, sprayed 'damp start' etc for help with bang. still wouldn't start.

slight progress of sounding like nearly there whenever damp start used.
plugs checked - all working but passenger side wells full of water and two plugs rusted to leads. new set of leads and plugs fitted early 2007.
extra damp start sprayed, lots of drama but no start. - plume of fire coming out of air intake, head intake blown off and in neighbours garden, air box lid off!

new elite bought.

cdx left to ponder.

not really sure why looking back i let the beast stand for many many months but it's only done 65k, had lots of work done (like belt/pump/pads/leads/plugs) and is lovely black. i have some beautiful pics of when it moved! any chance again?
