EGR Valve

EGR smoking like a bandit, could it be the wiring or the valve and plug, been quoted £50 including fitting, just don't wanna waste the guys time if its just wiring????



Some thing else to fix, last thing i hope temperate sorted :y

Considering it has exhaust gases going through it, if the gasket fails, it will smoke.

If it was the wiring it would be a rather more worrying smoke, and only until it shorted itself out.

Personally I would just fit a blanking plate. I know a couple of people made them by cutting the right shape out of a drinks can.

Ask your garage to do this, it will cost a lot less than £50.
As long as the valve is left plugged in it will be perfectly happy.
