"At your own risk"  But, I,ve done it several times on Omega's...  Disconnect the battery, go and have a cup of tea for 10 mins, this will allow capacitors to discharge...  there are 2 set pins holding it on, you'll need an allen key for these.. they are located on the rear of the steering wheel...  you'll ideally need to remove the shroud around the column to gain access, that's just a few screws form underneath.. carefully lift the air bag a few inches from the wheel, you'll now need to disconnect the cable to the air bag, this is a yellow plug with a retaining clip...  Job done!   When you reassemble, make sure 100 % that the plug is back in right, because, if it ain't the air bag warning light will come on, and it's a tech II OBD to turn it off again...  Reconnect the battery and you're away....
