Autobox
« on: 26 June 2007, 14:04:47 »

Was out this morning and when coming off the A5 and coming to a stop at athe junction 'Automatic gearbox' appeared on my display.
The car seemed to be stuck in 1 gear! :o  Got home, turned the car off and panicked! ;D
On starting the car up again the autobox seemed to work fine ::)

Any ideas, should I be worried? ;D

For some reason, the box detected a fault, and put it in limp mode (hence the MID msg).

Unfortuantely, it needs a good code reader to read gearbox to find out what it stored.

Whatever, it may be worth planning a fluid and filter change on the box (£60ish if you do it yourself).

With the standard supplied software, the cheapo doesn't read autoboxes...
