dashboard lights
« on: 07 July 2007, 07:37:40 »

hi all

when i first car on a morning the lights on the display go really dim even just idling. then when i start driving it does it worse but as soon as i take foot off accellerator they go bright again. it's only when i start car first time in morning. and only does it for bout 5 mins! could it be that i'm gunna need a new battery soon?

car idles a bit stupid when it does it revs go up to 2000 and down to less than 500rpm

Sounds like the laternator regulator....when it happens, can you measure the battery voltage under both conditions.
