Steering Wander
« on: 09 July 2007, 21:23:26 »

My Omega tramlines badly on uneven surfaces and in motorway ruts. I've changed the steering idler and the wishbones (and had the tracking reset). This has improved things, but it is still pretty poor. What's should I look at next in order to get to the bottom of this problem?

Plus, my aircon is loosing gas, is there a common fail on the omega that I can look for, or am I better off taking to my local aircon servicing chap?

cheers

Some tyres are prone to tramlining more than others. Wider, lower profile tyres make it worse generally as well.

Probably worth getting a full geometry check down as well, see http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk
