Sorting out my headlights
« on: 29 July 2007, 09:48:12 »

Just thought I would share this with anyone too broke to replace their crappy headlights with projectors.

I managed to modify a drill hole boring tool by hot glueing a sponge to the circular carrier and fixing some 800 wet and dry to the sponge.  Attach it to a drill and sanded my headlights nice and smooth, obviously it took several peices of sandpaper.  Then I took off the sandpaper and used some t-cut on the sponge and went off again with the drill to the headlights.

The result...?  Almost new headlight covers and the difference it has made is phenomenal!  Obviously not as good as projectors but a good substitute until the winter months come and will defo sort out a MOT failure if it has failed on the headlight pattern.

I will post some pics soon when I get home (currently grafting at tmy parents house)
