vin paint code identification

can anybody pin down the paint code position on the vin plate as there are umpteen numbers and letters stamped on it i require some touch up and i have been to halfords and no joy i may have to have it mixed at a special place but as i have seen this particular color on a few omegas ( a very dark blue ) i cant see it being a one offta evasow

normally 4 digits, 1 letter followed by 3 numbers


If you have a VIN sticker on the B post, its bottom left corner if you look at it in the direction the text is in...

98 on cars have a black sticker on B post, driver side, with different layout.

For best match, go to dealer and order (it'll be about £5 for the spray and the laquer), and they will come out and read any paintcode ;)

IVE NOW SORTED THIS CHAPS THANKS. THE VIN PLATE WAS ON THE B PILLAR AS YOU SAID BUT IS DIFFERANT TO THE ONE SHOWN ON THE TECHNICAL INFO SITE. FOR THE RECORD MY PAINT CODE IS 20H AND THE COLOUR IS NOCTURNO BLUE. THE CAR IS ONLY SEVEN YEARS OLD BUT THE PAINT RACKS YOU SEE IN ALL CAR SHOPS WILL NOT STOCK IT. IVE ORDERED IT SEPARATELY. LATAR DUDES.
