v6 manifold

hi chaps. av got a very slite clapin blowin noise from my manifold. lasts about 100 yards then go`s . you only here it when engine is cold or cool. its only very little but i no its there. eny ideas? had it up in the air and theres no blowin from down pipes. :'(

Are you sure it's not a problem with your Secondary Air Injection System?
If you have any blowing pipes or connections, that's when this system is
operating.

two tell you the truth m8  if you do not give it eny gas wen cold you carnt here it? but revv it the blowin comes from the back of the manifold area if thats eny help?

Check the short rubber hose between the two metal pipes

That does sound like manifold gasket

Ah, right, won't be the SAIS then, as that has it's own pump and you would
hear it easier with no revs.

Seems a fairly common problem on the V6, i have both sides to do on my one and Haynes says you have to remove the engine to get off the passenger side bank :( OMFG :'(

I was looking on vxon this morning  ::) and there was some one asking the same question but the answer they suggested was to change the oil  :o Now even I know that this is likely to be the gasket  ;) I sent him a pm suggesting he try OOF  :y I think I suggested this site to a couple pf people today  :y
