window/mirror switch removal (facelift)
« on: 29 August 2007, 14:00:54 »

Could someone advise how the drivers door mounted switch console is removed on a facelift model.
My mirrors have suddenly stopped adjusting in one direction. Both mirrors are the same so it must be the 4-way switch that either needs some switch cleaner or renewal.

iirc, its part of the leccy window switches?

The leccy window switch panel is just clipped in and should pull out. However, in order to minimise damage, I usually remove doorcard and push up from below...

Yes, remove the door card, its much easier and the clips can be a swine to release otherwise.

Think there is a maintenance guide on facelift door card removal.
