Hi all,
I've been reading some recent posts about it and it seems there are 2 reasons for the front tyres to scrub their inner edges.-

A.
Too much negative camber.

B.
Worn wishbone bushes.

Is there any way of telling which problem you've got by looking at the tyres?
I know about checking wishbone bushes with a lever and looking for movement but different length levers and different size biceps will give different results so that method wont give a definate pass / fail result.
If someone tells me to use a 2 foot lever and the same amount of force as I would when tightening wheel bolts with a torque wrench (which we all do up to 110 Nm. don't we ) or something like that, then I'd be more confident diagnosing worn bushes.

Inside shoulder wear is always camber.  But the camber may be due to worn components, so just look for excessive play.

The inside of the front tyres can also wear if there is not enough toe in. If you set the toe to the middle of the range as specified by Vx I think there isn't quite enough toe in and the inside edges will wear a bit.

Checking the wishbone bushes is not as easy as it sounds I'd recommend comparing the left and right sides (lever each side see how much it gives). Also look for tears.

Sometimes a knacked bush only really becomes obvious when you take the wishbone off.

Toe issues tend to affect more of the tyre than just the shoulder in my experience...

What about outside tyre wear on the front??

Ware on the outer edge could also be the camber being incorrect, but more likly to be exessive toe in  fault. but either way a trip to  wim is the best bet.
